Ross v. Slaughter & Prime Transport
Brenda Ross was on her way to work at a local bank when a tractor trailer pulled into her path on U.S. Highway 60. She struck the trailer just past the front tandems. Brenda sustained a severe closed head injury that left her in a coma for six days. She was unable to return to work for six months and could not regain her computing skills required for her previous position at the bank. Abe Paul obtained a jury verdict in the amount of $292,000.00. The verdict was affirmed on appeal and Brenda received an additional $9,500.00 in pre and post judgment interest.
